David M. Conklin Senior Consultant - Finance Mr. Conklin is a Senior Consultant with more than twenty years experience in the financial healthcare industry. His strengths include operational analysis, corrective action strategies, financial planning and feasibility analysis, and staff training and development and information management. His accomplishments include: • Identified and implemented revenue system enhancements to improve operating profit resulting in a gain of $2.3 million annually. • Created systems for executive management to identify turnaround strategies, which focused on length-of-stay and physician performance. Systems reversed $500,000 of monthly losses within six months. • Facilitated the development of the first Medicare approved Rural Referral (EACH/RPCH) Network in the nation, which increased profit by $6 million annually. • Developed the initial five-year financial plan for a major healthcare system. • Prepared demographic and financial feasibility analysis for programs and product lines, including neurosurgery, oncology and cardiac catheterization laboratories. • Coordinated and implemented new information systems and system conversions. He has extensive experience evaluating and analyzing financial operations, activities and systems to identify problems, then developing and implementing viable solutions.
