Mr. Magers is a Senior Consultant with more than twenty years of successful healthcare experience in progressive positions in both proprietary and non-proprietary settings.  He has broad experience at senior management level with a solid record of achievement.  He is an excellent communicator, team player and problem solver with demonstrated success in; Acute & Specialty Care, Skilled nursing, Physician practice management, Long term acute, Rehabilitation and Psychiatric Care.

Selected Accomplishments include:

• Restructured and turned around a 250 bed teaching hospital resulting in a $14 million bottom line improvement
• Managed major downsizing/reorganizations with annual cost reductions of $7 million
• Implemented an integrated care case management program capturing  $3.2 million in first year savings.
• Improved cash flow by reducing days in accounts receivable by 30%
• Succeeded in the successful information system conversion of a newly acquired 900 bed teaching hospital
• Experienced in mergers and acquisition analysis of hospitals, clinics, home health agencies and surgery centers.
• Led a privately held hospital company through an IPO.
• Identified and implemented numerous opportunities for Medicare cost report appeals resulting in $12 million in additional reimbursement.
• Initiated revenue cycle improvements yielding annual net revenue per admission increases over    12 %

His extensive experience includes positions as both Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, where he has successfully improved operations many times in his career. He has also held interim management positions several times in Texas, and Michigan, including most recently St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan Texas   

Prior to joining Norris FSG, Inc., Mr. Magers was Chief Financial Officer, Consultant, Vice President of Finance at various healthcare facilities throughout the country, including: Tucson Heart Hospital, Tucson AZ, Atlanta Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Atlanta, GA, Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas, Fort Worth Texas   Southwest Hospital & Medical Center, Atlanta, GA , Tenet Healthcare Corp.  

He is a member of Healthcare Financial Management Association. 

He received a M.H.A. Graduate work in Healthcare Administration (24 hours), University of South Carolina University
